Back to School Blast
The 2013 Back 2 School Blast is scheduled for Monday, August 12th, 4:30 to 7:30. More information to come!
Highlights of the 2012 Back 2 School Blast:
1,600 low income children we served. A fun day was had by all!
In addition to getting brand new book bags and school supplies:
- 500 kids received a foot washing and new shoes
- 218 kids received a back 2 school hair cut
- 60 kids received a school physical by Carilion Pediatric interns
- 25 kids received their immunization shot series by RKE City Health Department
- Over 200 volunteer participated in making the event happen
