A mound of clay transformed into something beautiful or useful is a metaphor for what happens in our lives when we are willing to place our will in the context of the Creator’s will. At the Rescue Mission we believe that every person possesses creative gifts, and exploring these gifts is yet another avenue towards healing and restoration.
The Art Studio is available to all program participants beginning in Phase One. Artist and Studio Coordinator, Pam Rhodes, and a volunteer staff of professional and hobby artists and potters offer weekly classes and open studio time.
“Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” Isaiah 64:8
